365 A photo a day - Weekly update (wk1)

Hi there Tartan Tasters

Welcome to a new chapter in my blog

For those who are new to my blog, I am a Scottish lassie currently living under the big wide sky of Texas.  I love to cook, paint furniture and create and I have had a love of photos and photography ever since I can remember. I loved looking at old photos as a kid and I still do

So, I am very excited to start a new personal photo challenge this year

The challenge is to take a photo every day for a year and share it, it can be anything or any theme you choose and this year I chose "From Where I stand"

I watched for the last two years as my friend and fellow blogger Peg @ A Kilt and a Camera took on this challenge and produced amazing photos, her images were just so inspiring and most important of all, they all documented her journey and her daily life, it really is fascinating. This year she is doing 2 photo themes, check them out, this girl rocks !

So for the next 365 day I will be sharing my photos on Instagram and for the next 52 weeks I will be posting a weeks worth of my daily photos for you here, mostly these photos will be foodie related but you will also get a glimpse into the life of me and where my feet take me on a daily basis

So I hope you join me and start your own 365 project (its not too late you know)

1 / 365  Dusting the large Mincemeat Pie with powdered sugar, ready for New Years Dinner (you know you love the puppy slippers, come on admit it)

2 /365  Sharing shrimp with my boy for lunch (cheers) - He asked me "Do we kill shrimp to eat them?" "ermm, yes, yes we do"

3 /365  Time to take down the Christmas lights and decor, goodbye December, hello January

4 /365  Breakfast of champions - I love grapefruit (trying to be healthy after the pizza we had last night)

I want to thank The Boy and Me for hosting a great link up for us all to share and enjoy, click on the "365" below to view the other great photo projects that have linked up

  10. I am so excited to have you joining my linky! When Peg joined in two years ago it was a complete surprise as I'd never come across her before and seeing her 'exotic' photos from the other side of the world was amazing and exciting. I've loved to see her travels and seeing one of her friends join in from another country is brilliant. Some of my favourite participants live in other countries as I like to see the differences and similarities in our lives.

Great shots so far this week, nice to see food sneaking in and I look forward to seeing your recipes and concoctions. Pretty pink toes!

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.

  11. ooooh I never thought of having a theme (I am incredibly new to all of this) your theme is lovely, and you have even given me an inspiration for mine - having desperately looked for a theme that will fit the pictures I have already taken (but I will wait until next week to see if it works out!).

Loving your pictures, and the blog in general (and the pink nail varnish!)
