ReplyDeleteanother recipe for Clootie Dumpling.....6 oz self raising flour....6 oz brown breadcrumbs....6 oz suet,either beef or vegetarian will do......1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda.....2 teaspoons cinnamon....1 teaspoon ginger.......10 oz mixed dried fruit.....4 oz soft dark brown sugar....2 tablespoons of syrup......1 1/2 cups of milk......mix well together then either put in a cloth or as i do put into a bowl ( Pyrex) if you have one,cover the top of the bowl with a cover,i use aluminium foil tied round with string then place in a pot of water and boil for several hours until firm
